Pathways Intern

May 2017 • Norfolk, VA

What I liked

I loved that I learned information that is directly related to what I would like to do. I was able to work on a multimillion dollar construction project that involved 3 major parties, including the one I worked for. It gave me realistic experience and expectations for what work will be like after graduation. There was also a huge focus on how much we learned and the environment was very comfortable.

What I wish was different

I wish it was closer to school so I could work during the school year.

Advice

Don’t be shy and always try to research to learn more than what they taught you. Use the information you gain and dive in deeper into the subject.
