Software Engineering Intern

June - August 2018 • Chelmsford, MA

What I liked

My manager was an incredible boss who gave me the right amount of work, help, and criticism. The company was very flexible with its employees and gave a lot of benefits. The actual work was sitting in Visual Studio all day programming, so there was a lot of problem solving, which I enjoyed. Finally, I felt like my work was important to the other employees, so it motivated me to care and work hard.

What I wish was different

This internship was great, and the only thing I would change would be location. I was far from family and friends all summer. As well, if I had my ideal internship situation, I would be working on hardware testing/analysis and not software :)

Advice

Don't be discouraged at a new job or internship if you feel underqualified or like you don't know what to do. Even in the best situations, you will feel this way from time-to-time.
