Test Technician

Job Title: Test Technician/Tester
Duration: 12 Months 

Location: Foxboro MA 02035

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour on W2
 

✅ Technical & Assembly Skills:

Hands-on experience building electronic test fixtures, especially Bed of Nails testers.

Familiarity with circuit schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams.

Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for electronic assembly.

Cable assembly and troubleshooting skills.

Understanding of preventive maintenance and calibration procedures.

✅ Documentation & Coordination:

Ability to create Bill of Materials (BOMs), Test Procedures, and Maintenance Documents.

Experience with ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) and proper documentation practices.

Comfortable using Excel, spreadsheets, and databases for inventory or test data tracking.

✅ Logistics & Purchasing Knowledge:

Experience sourcing components, creating RFQs, managing vendor communication.

Knowledge of shipping processes, including packing, crating, and shipping documentation.

✅ Soft Skills:

Detail-oriented, organized.

Strong communication skills (especially written for documentation).

Team player—can collaborate with engineers and doc controllers.

Problem-solving mindset—suggests improvements to designs and builds.

🎓 Education:

Diploma or Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Or equivalent hands-on experience (3–5+ years in a similar role).

🧭 Bonus Experience (Nice to Have):

Background working in a DVT (Design Validation Test) lab environment.

Prior experience in prototyping and new product introduction (NPI) processes.

Familiarity with test software or basic scripting for automation (Python, LabVIEW, etc.).
