Planning Intern
Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Planning students to join our St. Petersburg Florida (FL) office on the Transportation team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of a range of plans and studies (master plans, special area land use plans, multimodal transportation plans, and corridor studies)
- Conduct research and data analysis to support planning projects.
- Prepare maps, graphs, and presentations to illustrate data and project findings.
- Review and update comprehensive plans, form-based codes, zoning ordinances, and other planning documents.
- Participate in community engagement activities
- Help solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
- Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies.
Qualifications
- In the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in one of the following majors:
- City and Regional Planning
- Urban Planning
- Transportation Planning
- Urban Design
- Engineering
- Or Other Related Major
