Engineering CAD Technician

Full-time (30hrs or more) hourly position. Responsibilities include drawing 2D and 3D framing plans and details. Occasional off-site work to obtain field measurements. Projects are unique and include residential and non-residential construction. We primarily use AutoCAD & Sketchup. Our drawings are high-quality and require care and skill in preparation.

Experience & Education Required:

Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

Recent experience and proficiency with AutoCAD.

Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment while also paying close attention to detail.

Experience with 3-Dimensional design a plus.

Knowledge of construction materials and assemblies (concrete, steel, wood, masonry).

Structural engineering or architecture experience preferred.

Ability to sketch and use drawing to communicate ideas.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

U.S Citizenship or Permanent Work Status.

Fluent in English, spoken and written.
