Job Summary
Teamwork Therapies is seeking a compassionate and student-centered School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapy services to students across Pierce County, Washington. This role includes evaluations, treatment planning, direct services, consultation, documentation, and collaboration with school teams and families to support student success and participation in the educational environment.
We are looking for clinicians who are collaborative, organized, and committed to helping students build the functional skills needed for success in school.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to identify student needs in fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, visual-motor integration, self-help, and school participation
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services through individual, small-group, and classroom-based interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals, service recommendations, and progress updates
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support carryover of functional skills across school settings
- Provide consultation regarding classroom strategies, accommodations, sensory supports, adaptive tools, and environmental modifications
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, progress reports, service logs, and therapy notes
- Support MTSS/RTI initiatives when applicable
- Adhere to district, state, federal, and professional practice standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Washington OT license, or eligibility to obtain Washington licensure
- NBCOT certification preferred or required as applicable
- Strong knowledge of pediatric and school-based occupational therapy practices
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in K–12 school settings
- Familiarity with IEP systems, special education processes, and school-based documentation
- Experience with sensory integration, fine motor intervention, adaptive equipment, and classroom-based supports
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Compensation & Benefits
$55.00–$75.00 per hour, depending on experience and assignment
