Junior Sales Executive

The Junior Sales Executive will play a key role in supporting new business development efforts and building the foundation for a long-term career in enterprise technology sales. This is an entry-level role designed for someone eager to learn how to sell complex IT services and solutions to mid-market and large enterprise clients.

In this position, you’ll work closely with senior sales executives to generate leads, qualify prospects, support proposals, and gain deep exposure to the sales process — from initial contact through client onboarding. Over time, you’ll develop the skills and experience to manage your own accounts and progress into a full Outside Sales / Enterprise Account Executive role.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers within enterprise IT, operations, and procurement teams.
  • Execute outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, marketing events) to generate qualified meetings for senior sales rep.
  • Maintain accurate data and activity tracking in the CRM system (Salesforcet).

Sales Support

  • Assist with sales presentations, RFP responses, and proposal development.
  • Support discovery calls and client meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
  • Coordinate with marketing and technical teams to prepare tailored client and public-facing materials.

Learning & Growth

  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s IT services and solutions portfolio (e.g., Project Portfolio Management cloud solutions, support services, staff augmentation).
  • Shadow senior account executive to learn enterprise consultative selling, pricing, and negotiation strategies.
  • Complete ongoing professional development and sales training milestones tied to advancement.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles (tech or professional services preferred).
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced, learning-oriented environment.
  • Curiosity about technology and a desire to understand how IT solutions drive business outcomes.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales automation platforms.
  • Experience working in or selling to B2B or enterprise environments.

 

Career Path

This role is designed as a stepping stone into enterprise sales. After demonstrated success (typically 12–24 months), the Junior Sales Executive may advance into roles such as:

  • Account Executive (Enterprise) – managing full-cycle sales with large clients
  • Business Development Manager – leading outreach strategy or vertical markets
  • Client Success Manager – expanding relationships within existing accounts
