Transportation Realty Agent Senior - Mercer County

The Transportation Realty Agent Senior will report to the District Right of Way Office. Performs advanced level work in real property appraisal, rights acquisition, relocation assistance, property management, and right-of-way engineering and surveying. Distinguishing factors are the advanced, complex nature of the negotiations and properties for which this position is responsible. This position serves as a lead worker over a group of lower level realty agents. Performs related work as required.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION 

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

• Substitution: Experience, as described below, may be substituted for the required training/education through an established formula.

• AND

• Applicants must have completed the Division of Highways course "Appraisal Principles" or one appraisal course recognized by the Appraisal Institute or the National Society of Real Estate Appraisers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

• Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in appraisal or appraisal review, negotiations, real estate management or real estate sales, relocation, other right-of-way experience, construction, surveying, or business operations.  

• Substitution: Successful completion of graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience through an established formula.

• Promotion Only:  Three (3) years experience as a Transportation Realty Agent classification series.
